On June 1, 2023, at approximately 8:17 p.m., 20-year-old Scott Wayne Darthard Jr. was fatally shot near the intersection of Belvidere and Fairmont Avenues in Columbus, Ohio's Hilltop neighborhood. Responding officers found Darthard Jr. suffering from a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:23 p.m.
