Death by Force

On August 21, 2023, Shermaine Upshaw, a 44-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, was found deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. The incident occurred around 3:36 PM in the 2900 block of Sandridge Avenue. Officers from the Columbus Police Department responded to reports of a male down and discovered Upshaw unresponsive at the scene. Despite the efforts of Clinton Township Fire Medics, he was pronounced dead shortly after their arrival.
