Meco Haskins, a 30-year-old man from Shannon, North Carolina, tragically lost his life on December 26, 2018. Haskins was found shot inside a vehicle on the 1200 block of McGoogan Farm Road in Shannon by sheriff’s deputies around 10 p.m. on the night of the incident. He was immediately flown to an undisclosed hospital for treatment, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after. The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office has since been investigating the case as a homicide.
