Marshall Alfred Johnson, a 19-year-old African American male from Monroe, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on July 13, 1960. Johnson was one of five employees at a sanitation business who were brutally attacked by their employer, Robert Fuller. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, and Fuller shot and killed Johnson along with Ernest McFarland, Albert Pitts Jr., and David Pitts. Charlie Willis, another employee, was also shot but survived the attack.
