Quintarius Brown, an 18-year-old African American male from Monroe, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on January 18, 2014. Initial reports suggested that Brown accidentally shot himself in the head and neck while handling a firearm inside a bedroom around 9 p.m. However, further investigation by the Monroe Police Department revealed inconsistencies in the initial reports. Scientific evidence obtained during the forensic examination of Brown did not support the claim that he shot himself.
