In the late evening hours of July 19, 2022, a domestic incident in Monroe, Louisiana, tragically escalated, leading to the death of 42-year-old Milton Smith. Officers from the Monroe Police Department were dispatched to the 200 block of North 21st Street shortly after 10:00 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Milton Smith suffering from a gunshot wound to his groin area.
