David “Fatdude” Jackson, a 20-year-old from Monroe, Louisiana, was fatally shot in a shootout that occurred at a gas station on Winnsboro Road. The incident took place on a Tuesday, just before 4 p.m.

Jarvis L. Johnson, a resident of 1501 S. 10th Street in Monroe, has been charged in connection with Jackson's death.
