Reginald Copning, a 29-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on February 26, 2021, in Monroe, Louisiana. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on South Eighth Street, where Monroe Police responded to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found Copning suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
