Demetric Collins, a 32-year-old African American male, was found dead on July 13, 2020, in Monroe, Louisiana. The Monroe Police Department responded to a shooting at the Parkview Apartments, where they discovered Collins with multiple gunshot wounds. Various drugs were also found on the ground near his body. Shortly after, another victim, Bobby Thompson III, was taken to a local hospital and later flown to Shreveport, Louisiana, for treatment.
