In the late summer of 2017, the community of Monroe, Louisiana, was shaken by the violent death of Jameon T. Coleman, a 19-year-old Black male. On August 14th, what began as a personal dispute between Coleman and another individual escalated with tragic finality. The argument grew heated, culminating in Coleman being shot multiple times.
