Donald Wayne Ely, a 37-year-old male from Baton Rouge, LA, was tragically shot multiple times on June 29, 2017, at 620 East Polk Street. Ely died at the scene. The Baton Rouge Police Department, in collaboration with the Louisiana State Police Fugitive Task Force, conducted an extensive investigation that led to multiple arrests in connection with Ely's murder.
