In the early morning hours of October 8, 2022, a dispute that began at a daiquiri shop on Sherwood Forest Boulevard in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, escalated into deadly violence. Toby Taylor, a 28-year-old male, was riding as a passenger in a vehicle traveling westbound on Interstate 12. Following the altercation at the daiquiri shop, their vehicle was pursued by another car. Between the Airline Highway and Drusilla Lane exits, occupants of the pursuing vehicle opened fire.
