In the early morning of Sunday, February 17, 2019, the body of Marshall Kolby Larks, a 35-year-old Black male, was discovered in a wooded area in the 1100 block of Spanish Town Road in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Investigators from the Baton Rouge Police Department were called to the scene at approximately 9:09 a.m. and determined that Larks had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. At the outset of the investigation, authorities had no known suspects or motives for the killing.
