Monique Maxie, a 41-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on July 15, 2017, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 1:30 AM, when Monique and another individual were exiting a vehicle on Blount Road. At this moment, Antoine, believed to be Monique's ex-boyfriend, fired several shots at the two individuals, striking only Monique.
