De Shannon Browder, a 22-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on May 15, 2016, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The incident occurred following a verbal altercation between Browder and Kiera Turner, a 23-year-old woman. The confrontation escalated, leading Turner to draw a handgun and shoot Browder multiple times in the parking lot at 1819 North Marque Ann Drive. Browder succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
