In the early morning hours of a Friday in Denver, a confrontation unfolded that would end in the death of twenty-six-year-old Guillermo Medrano-Sandoval. The incident began when a man named Brice Fitch, who was twenty-four at the time, heard noises outside his home on South Jasmine Street. Upon investigating, he discovered Medrano-Sandoval and a woman inside his vehicle in what he believed to be a theft in progress.
