In the fading light of a September evening in Denver, Colorado, a tragic event unfolded that would leave a lasting scar on the community. On September 8, 1995, the lives of two young men were cut short in a burst of violence. One of them was Charlie Garcia, a 19-year-old Hispanic/Latino male. He was in the company of 25-year-old Aaron Espinoza when they were both fatally shot.
