In the early morning hours of a Tuesday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the life of Terrance Jerome Davis, a 33-year-old African American man, was tragically cut short. On August 22, 2017, at approximately 3:20 a.m., deputies from the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Department responded to a call in the 3000 block of Yorkfield Drive. There, they found that Davis had been shot. He was rushed to a local hospital, but the severity of his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
