In the early morning hours of July 7, 2018, a dispute inside a Baton Rouge hookah lounge escalated into a fatal shooting that left one man dead. Forty-year-old Derrick 'TeeDee' Johnson, a male, was killed in the incident.

The altercation began inside The Hookah Lounge on Florida Boulevard, leading to a group of individuals, including Johnson, being escorted out by security. Following his removal, Johnson armed himself with a handgun and attempted to force his way back into the establishme ...
