On December 4, 2017, 34-year-old African American male Samuel James Johns was fatally shot in the 2100 block of Talbot Street in Shreveport, Louisiana. Responding officers found him lying on a front lawn with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Evidence collected included a handgun, shell casings, and narcotics, which were submitted for forensic analysis.
