In the quiet evening hours of November 1, 2020, in Shreveport, Louisiana, a tragedy unfolded that would cut short the life of 46-year-old Patrick Miles. Just after 7:20 p.m., the sound of gunfire pierced the air in the 6200 block of Southern Avenue, prompting calls to the Shreveport Police Department. Responding officers arrived to find Mr. Miles suffering from a single gunshot wound to his chest.
