On a late summer afternoon in Shreveport, Louisiana, a young man's life was cut tragically short. Twenty-one-year-old Kendrick Dotie was at the Northside Villas apartment complex off of North Market Street on September 5, 2022, when an argument escalated to violence. In the wake of the dispute, Dotie was shot. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but the severity of his wounds proved to be fatal, and he died within half an hour of the incident.
In the months following the shooting, the
Shreveport Police Department has been actively investigating the homicide. Their efforts have led them to identify a suspect in the case. Authorities have issued a warrant for the arrest of Lee Buckner, who is wanted for murder in connection with Kendrick Dotie's death. As of early 2023, Buckner remained at large.
To aid in the search for the suspect, Caddo Crime Stoppers has offered a financial reward for any information that leads to the apprehension of Lee Buckner. The community has been asked to come forward with any knowledge they may have regarding his whereabouts, with the assurance that tips can be provided anonymously. The case remains an open and active investigation as law enforcement continues their efforts to bring justice for Kendrick Dotie and his family.
