In the fall of 2017, a Shreveport, Louisiana man's attempt to recover his stolen property ended in tragedy. Bennie Livingston, a 65-year-old Black male, spotted what he believed to be his stolen white Ford F-250 on the morning of October 3, 2017. He immediately contacted 911 to report the sighting and began to follow the vehicle. During the pursuit, communication with the emergency dispatcher was lost.
