On July 19, 1985, in the Cedar Grove neighborhood of Shreveport, Louisiana, a brutal and methodical mass murder claimed the lives of four individuals within their residence at 213 East 72nd Street. The victims were identified as 34-year-old Vivian Chaney; her 28-year-old common-law husband, Billy Joe Harris; her 25-year-old brother, Jerry Culbert; and her 15-year-old daughter, Carlitha Culbert. Notably, Vivian Chaney, her brother Jerry, and her daughter Carlitha were visually impaired.
