Jason Smith, an 18-year-old resident of the 4600 block of Monkhouse Drive in Shreveport, Louisiana, was found mortally wounded on the evening of Wednesday, November 8, 2023. The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. at the intersection of Sunnybook Street and West Canal Boulevard in west-central Shreveport. Smith had suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was immediately transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital for treatment.
