Dayton DeShawn Washington, an 18-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on October 27, 2019, in Shreveport, Louisiana. The incident occurred at La Tierra Apartments in the Western Hills neighborhood. Dayton was shot in the abdomen area while outside the apartment complex. The shooting took place around 7:50 p.m., and he was subsequently taken to Ochsner LSU Health hospital for treatment.
