Travante Tramaine Myles, 28, a Black man, was shot on the night of January 25, 2021, along Mansfield Road in Shreveport, Louisiana, in the stretch where traffic and neon storefront light blur together after dark. He was found outside The Liquor Store on Mansfield Road with multiple gunshot wounds, and he was rushed to Ochsner LSU Health in Shreveport, where he later died.
In the first days after the killing, investigators leaned heavily on surveillance footage from the area, working backward from grainy frames and timestamps to figure out who had been near him and what happened in the moments before the gunfire. That video trail led police to name two suspects: Jamarzia Devon Leonard and Jalen A. Jack.
Jack was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on January 27, 2021.
