Marcel Turner, a 26-year-old African American male from Raceland, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on December 15, 2018. The incident occurred in the garage of a residence on Market Street in Raceland. Marcel Turner was found with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim, 23-year-old Jeremiah Ballard, also suffered gunshot wounds and later died at the hospital. A third man, who was present during the incident, managed to escape unharmed.
