In the early evening of December 26, 2020, the life of 18-year-old DJohn Porter, a male from Raceland, Louisiana, was cut tragically short. Around 7:15 p.m., deputies from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office were called to the 700 block of St. Louis Street in Raceland following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Porter lying unresponsive in the street. Despite any efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
