D'John D'Ron Porter, an 18-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on December 26, 2020, in Raceland, Louisiana. The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. on St. Louis Street, where deputies found Porter lying unresponsive in the street. He was later pronounced dead. The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office immediately launched an investigation into the shooting.
