On the night of April 18, 2019, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a young Black / African American man named Tremell Tumblin, aged 20, was fatally shot at his residence on Lewis Street. The incident occurred at approximately 11:21 p.m. following what authorities described as an argument between Tumblin and another individual. The assailant fled the scene on foot before law enforcement arrived. When police reached the home, they found that Tumblin had succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
