Death by Force

Roderyck Young, a 21-year-old African American male, was found dead on October 1, 2019, in a vacant lot in the Martin Luther King Jr. neighborhood of Shreveport, Louisiana. His body was discovered by a passerby just after 8 a.m. in the 2000 block of Hanna Street. The Caddo Parish Coroner's Office identified the body and confirmed that Young had been shot. An autopsy was scheduled at Ochsner LSU Health hospital, and the investigation remains ongoing by the Shreveport Police Department.
