Charles Ray Bryant, a 62-year-old man, was tragically killed in a shooting on the evening of Memorial Day, May 29, 2023. The incident occurred in the 3800 block of Andrew Avenue in Shreveport, Louisiana, where Bryant was found inside a parked vehicle with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
The Shreveport Police Department's investigation into the homicide led to the identification of a suspect, 29-year-old Devin D.
Bagley. With the assistance of the public, Bagley was located and arrested on June 1, 2023. He was subsequently charged with one count of second-degree murder in connection with the death of Charles Ray Bryant.
Following his arrest, the legal process against Devin D. Bagley moved forward. On September 1, 2023, a Caddo Parish grand jury returned a true bill of indictment against him for the second-degree murder of Charles Ray Bryant, indicating that the case would proceed to trial. Bagley is currently awaiting trial for the charges brought against him.
