In the spring of 2023, the life of Shamichael Demontae Rochell, a 23-year-old male, was tragically cut short in Shreveport, Louisiana. On the evening of Friday, April 14th, his body was discovered near the intersection of Missouri Avenue and Stonewall Street in the Queensborough neighborhood. The Caddo Parish Coroner's office would later confirm that he had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Shreveport Police were called to the scene just after 8:30 p.m. where they found Mr. Rochell.
Following an autopsy, his death was officially ruled a homicide, marking the 23rd such case in Caddo Parish for that year. Fingerprint comparison was used to positively identify the victim.
The Shreveport Police Department immediately launched an investigation into the shooting. Despite their efforts, information regarding any potential suspects or arrests in connection with the death of Shamichael Demontae Rochell has not been made public. The case remains an open and ongoing investigation.
