Michael Wayne Henry, a 56-year-old security guard from Shreveport, Louisiana, was tragically killed on October 16, 2015, during an armed robbery at the Thrifty Liquor store on Linwood Avenue. The incident occurred just after 10 p.m. when an armed suspect entered the store and confronted Henry, who was working as a security officer. During the encounter, the suspect fired a shot that struck Henry in the upper body. Despite being rushed to University Health, Henry succumbed to his injuries.
