In the fall of 2015, the life of 56-year-old Michael Wayne Henry, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in Shreveport, Louisiana. On the evening of October 16th, Henry was at his post as a security guard at Thrifty Liquor on Linwood Avenue, a job he undertook with a lifelong dedication to serving and protecting his community, a passion that had earlier led him to serve in the military and the Shreveport Police Department.
