Sedrick Kentrell Dennis, a 29-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in New Orleans in August 2020. His death was part of a double homicide that also claimed the life of 36-year-old Janero Davis.

Initial reports created some confusion regarding the exact date and location of the incident. Dennis's obituary officially states his date of death as Sunday, August 23, 2020. However, a police report and a Crimestoppers bulletin recorded the discovery of the two victims on Monday, August 24, 2020 ...
