In the summer of 2016, a wave of violence cast a dark shadow over New Orleans, and on the night of August 3rd, Tavaurus Harris, a 30-year-old man, became one of its victims. His life was cut short by gunfire in the vicinity of the historic Louis Armstrong Park, a place known for its vibrant celebrations of the city's culture and music.
