Jomo-Kenyatta Patrick Joseph, a 15-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on March 31, 1992, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was a victim of a shooting incident at O. Perry Walker High School, where he was fatally shot by Herman Tureau. The incident left a deep scar on the community, as it highlighted the pervasive issue of gun violence in schools.
