On February 3, 2022, 28-year-old Karell Portis was tragically killed in New Orleans, Louisiana. The incident occurred around 8:36 p.m. when officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 6700 block of Chef Menteur Highway. Upon arrival, they found Portis suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office later confirmed that the cause of death was a gunshot wound.
