On May 3, 2023, 16-year-old Tyjevious Kamaruri Nasir "Big Red" Jones was found deceased at his residence on Dime Street in Greenville, South Carolina. The Greenville County Coroner's Office determined that he had suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head, classifying his death as a homicide.
