On the evening of February 11, 2023, law enforcement officers in Greenville, South Carolina, were dispatched to a residence on Mayflower Avenue following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival at the scene around 8 p.m., deputies discovered 17-year-old Nyquan Miller, an African American male, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The teenager was critically injured during the violent encounter, which occurred in a residential area of the county.
