On May 24, 2023, 51-year-old Timothy Kelly was fatally shot in downtown Greenville, South Carolina. The incident occurred near the Towers East Apartments on North Main Street. Police officers, who were in a nearby parking lot, heard a single gunshot and promptly responded to the scene, where they found Kelly lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
