In the quiet Brookstone subdivision of Columbus, Georgia, a grim discovery was made on the evening of Monday, October 6, 2025. Norman Lane, a 65-year-old male, was found deceased inside his home on Brookstone Drive by a family member. Responding to a call about a possible burglary around 8:16 p.m., Columbus Police officers arrived to find signs of a forced entry into the residence.
