Montrell Johnson, an 18-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on October 7, 2019, in Columbus, Georgia. The incident occurred late at night on 32nd Avenue, where Montrell Johnson and his friend, 17-year-old Terreon Joseph, were walking when they were confronted by an assailant. According to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan, Montrell Johnson was shot in the head, while Terreon Joseph was shot in the chest.
