The incident led to the arrest of his older brother, Marquavious Ford, who was subsequently charged in connection with the fatal shooting.
During a court hearing on March 19, 2021, emotions ran high as family members contended that the shooting was accidental.
According to the testimony, police alleged that words were exchanged between the brothers before a weapon was brandished and Quindarious was shot. However, Marquavious Ford's attorney stated that his client loved his brother and that the event was a distressing situation for the entire family, emphasizing that 'accidents do happen.'
