Jaquan Harris, a 19-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on December 27, 2018, in Columbus, Georgia. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, with a 911 call reporting the situation at a residence on Dunwoody Drive. Harris was found with a gunshot wound to his chest and was pronounced dead at 3:15 a.m. at the emergency room at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown campus. His death was a result of a violent altercation that took place earlier that night.
