Alashia Collins, a 17-year-old African American girl from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, tragically lost her life on April 22, 2022. Alashia, affectionately known as Lay Lay, was just shy of her high school graduation and had aspirations of becoming a police officer to serve and protect her community.
