Billy Nel Joseph Sr., a 39-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 23, 2022, in Lafayette, Louisiana. Billy was born on December 12, 1982, to the late Billy Nel Owens Jr. and Jessie Joseph in Lafayette, LA. He attended school in Lafayette Parish and worked as a cook. His life was suddenly taken in a drive-by shooting near the intersection of Moss Street and Mudd Avenue. The incident ended with one vehicle striking a pole.
