In the late hours of August 3, 2022, a burst of gunfire shattered the night in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, leaving a young man's life cut tragically short. Sheldon Gales Jr., a 21-year-old African American male, was shot and killed in the 5500 block of Dutton Avenue. The incident occurred at approximately 10:15 p.m., and when authorities arrived at the scene, they found Gales deceased.
