Lacorrion Turner, 26, a Black man, was killed in a late-night shooting in the Duson area of Lafayette Parish, Louisiana, in the final hours of August 23, 2022—an incident that some public gun-violence logs later recorded under August 24, 2022.

Deputies responded to the 600 block of Marigny Circle and found Turner suffering from a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead. In the same incident, a woman was also found injured, though reports said she was not shot, and she was taken to a loca ...
