James McChristian, a 26-year-old African American male, was tragically shot to death on September 2, 2017, in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. The incident occurred around 1:20 a.m. when McChristian was among four individuals on a porch who were targeted in a shooting. He was struck in the chest and abdomen and was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
